The First time I was introduced to chakras it was on a children's show "Avatar the Last Air Bender" to be exact, here a clip:

I was teaching my friend Amrita about chakras she had some previous knowledge and I wanted to know what she really knew about all of the chakras.

So I asked "did you know that there are 7 different chakras"

"I knew about the different colours of chakras and that they were all different, I knew in which order they went," she said

What I learned from her is that each one in Hinduism is associated with different gods.

"Root is lord Ganesh, Sacral is Vishnu, Maharudra Shiva, then Ishvara, followed by then Sadashiva then Ardhanarishvara which is both Shiva and Parvati then Shiva"

That was so interesting to me... at this point, it was like she was teaching me, the student had become the student's student.

I had to ask if she knew about each chakra being opened and closed by a different emotional issue and to my surprise she did know.

"And when you open up your root chakra you can only ascend from there," she said

I set out to teach and was being taught myself. Now for all of you, the seven chakras are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through.

Blocked energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it's important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Here's our quick summary:

1. Root Chakra — Represents our foundation and feeling of being grounded.

Location: Base of spine in tailbone area.
Emotional issues: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food.

2. Sacral Chakra — Our connection and ability to accept others and new experiences.

Location: Lower abdomen, about two inches below the navel and two inches in.
Emotional issues: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexuality.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra — Our ability to be confident and in control of our lives.

Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area.
Emotional issues: Self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

4. Heart Chakra — Our ability to love.

Location: Center of chest just above the heart.
Emotional issues: Love, joy, and inner peace.

5. Throat Chakra — Our ability to communicate.

Location: Throat.
Emotional issues: Communication, self-expression of feelings and the truth

6. Third Eye Chakra — Our ability to focus on and see the big picture.

Location: Forehead between the eyes (also called the Brow Chakra).
Emotional issues: Intuition, imagination, wisdom and the ability to think and make decisions.

7. Crown Chakra — The highest chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.

Location: The very top of the head.
Emotional issues: Inner and outer beauty, our connection to spirituality and pure bliss.

Are you ever tired, I mean up till 4 work at 8, school after work gym after school reach home 11 then up till 4 with school work again ?

Yes? are you stressed? yes? well, i suggest you do what I should be doing and take a break.

Too much stress could result in physical problems, like heart disease, chest pain, high blood pressure, and an irregular heartbeat. Stress is known as “silent killer” because people do not take stress too seriously when it begins to build up.

Though a little stress is a good thing, if you do not give yourself a fix or break once in a while, your own body will force itself to take a break.

And nobody wants an unwanted break when they have things to do.

So what is needed is a Break, but what kind of break can you have if you don't have time and need something to take the bulk of stress away.... well there are a couple of things you can do.

1. Get rid of THE MOST STRESSFUL projects or work related things first thing in the morning.
by doing this first thing you have time to focus on the more interesting jobs or work as the day goes on and the stress won't be constantly on your back.

2. Take breaks frequently, but not to frequently because there is work to be done, I mean 5-10 minute breaks to take a breathe understand what you're doing and get it done the best fastest way possible. Don't sit down for more than 1 hour.

3. Get some friends at work that take your mind off of it, it's easy to sit in a room or cubical and trudge away until you go mental. Even if you had one friend to check up on you or talk to it would go a long way in getting some stress off your mind.

4. Learn how omega-3 fats in your diet helps reduce stress and boost mood

5. Get the full amount of sleep, I know that's really hard but if your assignments aren't due and you have finished most of your work, take some end of days to relax before you start again.

6. Regain control by prioritizing and organizing your time so that you can get the most our of your day and don't get distracted by trivial things.

7. Look for the humor in anything that looks bad because really all of that stressful work isn't that important one year from now when there are more things to do , so don't take it so seriously, but your best foot forward get it done and move on.

I hope you take control before it's taken away from you....

It's no secret that ... nope, not gonna start a sentence like that.

I try to eat healthy, really I do, but when I'm faced with not having a lot of money and needing a little more food than average I tend to buy things that are just well BAD...

if its cheap burgers or pies or something I tend to EAT IT, FELL BAD ABOUT IT, THEN FEEL SICK... and that's the worst part... I love eating good healthy food but there are times that I slip and well ... I've been slipping BIG TIME.

Coming from a person who use to eat mostly salad and chicken, drink large amounts of water and go to the gym 5 times a week to now...... where I eat badly, drink a little water, sit most of the day because now I have a job.... and go to the gym (this is the sad part) ONCE FOR THE WEEK)

Now puppies aside I know this is kinda depressing but it's going somewhere, You see it was a great chance for me to test a couple things... and so I did.

I Tested both types of living with my mental health in mind. Now I would like to say that \All these "tests" were done by me and are my experiences I do not claim to be any kind of doctor and I'm not telling anyone else to do this/

I would go to the gym 5 times a week and be eating healthily, I'm talking protein shakes , fruit smoothies, vegetables being 3/4ths of my meal the whole thing. Now my depression or my Feeling of depression was very low to almost nonexistent because while in the gym , I didn't have a job I may not have had money but I had friends gym partners and felt I was connected to something.

Like this guy trying to get them gains.

But currently, I am getting back into the swing of things, moving back into a 5-day gym routine. and I say getting back because for a while I was going to the gym one a week had a job for three days a week along with going to class... it was a bit too much and still is but after 3 months I've gotten accustomed to it but for a long time I was more depressed than before, being without that gym connection of friends, that movement and exercise made me a little bit more depressed along with work and school ... it was a lot to take in.

After some time tho I get use to whats going on even if it constantly I had a handle on it and I could take time off and get to relax for periods of time that I would have been stressing over everything.

So currently it's about finding balance for me, it's about making time to do what needs to be done getting it done and moving on to the next thing, it's about getting enough sleep, going to the gym, going to class going to work then going home getting school work done and going back to sleep, there will be small recreations there will be things you can do on the weekend but BALANCE.
